2007-2013: Carreira musical

Bryan iniciou a carreira musical em 2004 após ter se deslocado para Nashville, tendo logo se juntado a uma editora. Seu primeiro trabalho foi co-escrevendo para Travis Tritt a faixa-título do My Honky Tonk History (2004). Ele também co-escreveu o single "Good Directions" de Billy Currington, que foi número um na Hot Country Songs em 2007. O seu álbum de estreia, I'll Stay Me, foi lançado em 14 de agosto de 2007.[1][2] O disco atingiu a 24ª posição da Billboard 200 e a segunda da Billboard Country Albums.[3][4] Mais tarde o trabalho de originais foi certificado de ouro pela Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[5] "All My Friends Say", "We Rode in Trucks" e "Country Man" foram lançadas como single tendo alcançado desempenho moderados no Hot Country Songs e no caso da primeira e terceira citada igualmente na Billboard Hot 100.
