Neontologia

Neontologia é um termo cunhado pelo paleontólogo Stephen Jay Gould para caracterizar o estudo dos seres ainda vivos, em contraste com a Paleontologia que estuda organismos fósseis, em geral, espécies já extintas.[1][2][3]
