Etymology
The older spelling is ծկոյթ (ckoytʿ), from *ծլկոյթ (*clkoytʿ), from *ծուլկոյթ (*culkoytʿ), borrowed from a Georgian-Zan language: compare Laz წულუ კითი (ǯulu ǩiti, “pinky”, literally “small finger”).
