Compare with Arabic دَحَا‎ (daḥā) and Classical Syriac ܕܚܐ‎ (dəḥā, “to push away”).

דָּחָה • (dakhá) third-singular masculine past (pa'al construction, passive counterpart נִדְחָה‎)

1. to push away, push aside
   • Psalms 118:13, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:

     ‏דַּחֹה דְחִיתַנִי לִנְפֹּל וַיהוָה עֲזָרָנִי׃‎‎

     dakhó d'khitáni linpól vaYHVH 'azaráni.
