Etymology
From Middle Persian 𐭠𐭥𐭲𐭥𐭧𐭱𐭲𐭩 (Ardwahišt), “right”; name of the second Amahraspand (divine deity) in Zoroastrianism. Compare ارد (ard, “truth”) and بهشت (behešt, “heaven”).
