स्तुका

Sanskrit

Etymology

According to Pokorny, from Proto-Indo-European *stewe- (to get dense, tight), comparable to Ancient Greek στύω (stúō, to make stiff),[1] but it could easily instead be an Indo-Iranian substrate word.[2][3]
