-öny

  1. (nominal-forming suffix) Added to a word to form a noun or an adjective.
    ‎ölt (“to stitch”) + ‎-öny → ‎öltöny (“(men's) suit”)

Usage notes
  • (nominal-forming suffix) Variants:
    -ny is added to words ending in a vowel
    -any is added to back-vowel words ending in a consonant
    -ony is added to back-vowel words ending in a consonant
    -eny is added to unrounded front-vowel words ending in a consonant
    Lua error in Module:utilities at line 142: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'h' (a nil value) is added to rounded front-vowel words ending in a consonant
