From Proto-Malayo-Polynesian *bayuquŋ (“bag of plaited palm leaves”). Compare Ilocano bay-ong, Hiligaynon bayoong and Lua error in Module:utilities at line 142: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'h' (a nil value).
