Etymology
From Lua error in Module:utilities at line 142: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'h' (a nil value), from kimono + -a, from Japanese 着物 (kimono). Doublet of kimono, a later borrowing. Potet (2016) remarks that the last vowel in 着物 (kimono) was mistaken for the masculine -o ending in Spanish, so the Spanish feminine -a ending was appended to this word.
Pronunciation
- Hyphenation: ki‧mo‧na
- IPA(key): /kiˈmona/, [kɪˈmo.nɐ]
