Usage notes
- The attributive forms are used before counted nouns. The long form is used with broken plurals that begin with a consonant cluster. To the noun i- is then prefixed: tfal (“children”) → tlitt itfal (“three children”). Irregularly this also happens with jiem: tlitt ijiem (“three days”).
- The use of the long form in the above contexts is predominantly observed, but for the most part is not entirely obligatory, meaning that tliet tfal may also be heard.
