Borrowed from Hindustani ज़िंदाबाद (zindābād) / زندہ باد (Zinda Bād, “long live”), from Classical Persian زنده باد (zinda bād).

- (South Asia) A shout of encouragement; a cheer, which can also be interpreted to mean "may [idea or person] live forever", in praise of a leader.
