Merrifieldia bystropogonis is a moth of the family Pterophoridae that is found on the Canary Islands and Madeira.[1]
The wingspan is 16–20 millimetres (0.63–0.79 in).[2] The forewings are slightly grey shaded. The hindwings and abdomen are brownish-grey.
The larvae feed on Bystropogon plumosus.[3] They draw together the leaves and young flower-buds on the leading shoots of their host plant. Larvae are pale green in pigment and reach a length of 11 millimetres (0.43 in).
