Nascido Joseph Arthur Mark Linquito em uma família italiana, Turner formou no colégio a banda Ezra, criando material original e tocando covers. Turner foi influenciado principalmente por artistas como Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Free e Sly and the Family Stone.[2]
