O partido foi fundado em 2008, como associação política, que defendia uma reforma do sisema política. Em 2009, transformou-se num partido político.
O partido define-se como um partido de centro, entre o Fidesz e o Partido Socialista Húngaro, seguindo uma linha ecologista, liberal e ambientalista.[1][2][3]
O partido é membro do Partido Verde Europeu[4] e da Global Verde.
