Reduplication of 乗り, the 連(れん)用(よう)形(けい) (ren'yōkei, “stem or continuative form”) of the verb 乗(の)る (noru).[1] Likely from the senses of “rhythm; tempo”, or perhaps from the derived noun 気乗(きの)り (kinori, “enthusiasm, interest”).
