Cicely Tyson

Cicely Tyson (Nova Iorque, 19 de dezembro de 1924 – 28 de janeiro de 2021) foi uma atriz estadunidense.[2] Em 1972, foi indicada ao Oscar de melhor atriz graças à sua performance no drama Sounder. Também foi lembrada por seu trabalho na minissérie Roots, transmitida em 1977 pela ABC. Recebeu três prêmios Emmy; um em 1994 e dois em 1974. Foi esposa do trompetista e compositor de jazz Miles Davis de 1981 até 1988. Em 2018, ela foi premiada com um Oscar Honorário.[3]
