Gasteropelecidae
Gasteropelecidae é uma família de peixes actinopterígeos pertencentes à ordem Characiformes. São chamados peixes-borboleta, pois seu peito alargado e suas barbatanas (que funcionam como asas) são adaptados para voar.[1] Vivem na superfície da água.
