  • Em 1940, a Monogram Pictures lançou um total de 50 filmes.
  • Quatro filmes encerraram a série "Renfrew of the Mounties", com James Newill no papel do Sargento Renfrew, oficial da Polícia Montada do Canadá. A série foi iniciada no ano anterior.
  • Também chegou ao fim a série "Mr. Wong", com quatro filmes, três deles estrelados por Boris Karloff e o último, por Keye Luke.
  • Outra despedida foi a do cowboy Jack Randall. Ele fez 22 faroestes no estúdio, a partir de 1937.
  • Enquanto isso, estreava a série "East Side Kids", inspirada nos Dead End Kids. Foram produzidos 22 filmes até 1945, quando desentendimentos no elenco levaram a seu fim e imediata criação de outra série, ainda mais bem sucedida: The Bowery Boys. Ambas mostravam aventuras vividas por garotos de rua.[1]
  • Outra estreia foi a do trio The Range Busters (John King, Max Tehune e Ray Corrigan), que fez 24 faroestes até 1943, quando acabou.
