- Em 1944, a Monogram Pictures lançou um total de 45 filmes.
- Charlie Chan, de tanto sucesso na 20th Century Fox, agora era da Monogram. Numa longa série que durou até 1949, Sidney Toller viveu 11 vezes o detetive criado por Earl Derr Biggers e Roland Withers assumiu seu lugar para os últimos seis.
- Outra estreia do ano foi a do pouco lembrado cowboy Jimmy Wakely, protagonista de 28 faroestes até 1949.
- Por outro lado, chegou ao fim o trio The Trail Blazers, após 8 correrias pelo Velho Oeste.
- Outro que se despediu foi Bela Lugosi, após 11 modestos filmes, a maioria de terror. O último deles foi Return of the Ape Man, que não é sequência de The Ape Man (1943).[1]
- Robert Mitchum, em início de carreira, teve uma breve passagem pelo estúdio. Foi coadjuvante em Johnny Doesn't Live Here Anymore e em When Strangers Marry.
- O musical Lady, Let's Dance assegurou duas indicações ao Oscar para a Monogram: Melhor Trilha Sonora (Musicais) e Melhor Canção Original. Foi o único filme do estúdio a ser indicado em mais de uma categoria.[1]
